Were it not for Lamborghini, Ferrari would have been the most dominant Italian sports and supercar manufacturer. This humungous auto manufacturer was born out of an argument between Enzo Ferrari and Ferruccio Lamborghini.
Over the years, the two companies have brawled, launching supercars that have broken the performance barriers even shrewd American manufacturers had placed on automotive performance. But it is their fanbase, specifically Lamborghini’s, that has taken this power brawl a notch higher.
These 10 cars are some of the wildest Lamborghinis you’ll ever set your eyes on. If you thought the glorious 5.2L V10 and V12s in the Murcielago were the wildest things to ever come out of Italy, you’re in for a rude awakening.
10 Biturbo Huracán
This Huracan looks like a piece of art from the rear. It looks like a marque built for the exhibition. You can’t help but adore it. Creating this menacing look was rather easy. The owner deleted the rear bumper, opening up the glorious 5.2L V10 to the elements and naked eye.
The owner then added two turbos to the stock power mill, courtesy of TR3 performance. Instead of about 600hp, this Biturbo Huracan produces a tire-ripping 850hp, enough to make it rip a hole through space and time.
9 Kevin Gordon’s Performante
In stock, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is a machine built to butcher lap times on the track and have nine-year-olds drooling over its poster in their bedrooms. Some sports car enthusiasts have called it a mind-searing performance machine. That description is apt.
The stock Performante is the scary version of the already-insane Huracan. Kevin Gordon turned the dials up and updated both the looks and performance of his Lamborghini supercar. The marque is outfitted with a VF Engineering supercharger, forged wheels, forged carbon aero, and an extremely gorgeous Olympic Bronze polish with satin clear.
8 Lamborghini Espada
Only a special breed of gearhead would modify a classic Lamborghini, especially one that was built in limited numbers. The Lamborghini Espada was built between 1968 and 1978. Only 1,217 ever made it out of the production line.
The 2+2 coupe was not the most beautiful Lambo ever built. It was also not the fastest. Still, it was a Lamborghini with the full character of the Italian bull. One owner decided to strip it down to its bare metal and build the most striking modified Lamborghini ever. It has an extreme rat rod appearance with larger wheels and a matte black finish.
7 Lamborghini Unicorn V3
The entry-level Huracan was considered by many gearheads as Lamborghini’s baby. They regarded it as one of the best supercars for the money. It can hit a top speed of over 200mph while wrapped up in a poster-worthy Lamborghini cover.
But one tuner saw beyond the entry-level Huracan’s “baby” features. The Unicorn V3 is a Huracan converted into a mad max machine. It features a unique pink exoskeleton-style frame that’s an attention grabber. The V10 behind the driver has been modified with two turbochargers to produce 1000hp.
6 Liberty Walk Aventador
This is arguably one of the most amazing Aventador out there. The looks of the Liberty Walk Lamborghini Aventador are simply insane. This modified Lamborghini is the fabrication of Liberty Walk, a Japanese tuning company.
It was built in celebration of Wataru Kato’s 54th birthday, the company’s founder. This modified Aventador dons the company’s LB-Silhouette Works Aventador GT Evo Kit. The marque is dropped as low as mechanically possible with a menacing rear end. It’s finished in silver and black accents. Only 20 units of this modified Lambo will be made.
5 Mansory Carbonado Apertos
As Lamborghini ushers petrolheads to the new flagship model for the company, Mansory has the best take on the ultimate Lamborghini V12. The Mansory Carbonado Apertos, a modified Lamborghini Aventador, offers more power, less weight, and a package guaranteed to stop any gearhead in their tracks.
As the name suggests, the Mansory Carbonado Apertos is mostly made out of carbon fiber. The custom bodywork features uniquely woven patterns that are visible through the clear lacquer finish that add to the overall visual appeal of the car. The interior is also carefully handstitched showcasing Carbonado’s impeccable build quality.
4 Minotaur-Themed Huracán Evo
Enthusiasts are always left with a massive grin on their faces after driving the 630hp Lamborghini Huracan Evo. One enthusiast, Paolo Troilo, was so impressed, that he turned his Huracan Evo into a muse. Troilo was born in Taranto Italy and took a massive risk to ditch an award-winning career in advertising to pursue his passion for art.
However, he doesn’t use brushes. He uses his fingers to paint. That’s what makes his art and this marque special. He painted the minotaur, a Greek mythology monster of Crete with the body of a man and the head of a bull onto this Huracan Evo.
3 Novitec Performante
The Performante makes any gearhead drool in admiration. This Novitec modification has been made more attractive by the addition of more aggressive wings, better suspension, larger wheels, and an exquisitely-finished body.
Novitec, the German tuner behind this, specializes in high-end cars from Italy. The company claims that this Huracan Performante is more aerodynamically efficient than the stock model thanks to its wings made out of forged carbon. The car also features a new exhaust with bespoke Vossen wheels covered in Pirelli P-Zero rubber.
2 Off-Road Gallardo
Taking a Lamborghini off-roading is the quickest way to end up with a hefty service bill that covers more than an oil change. But this Lamborghini Gallardo is different. It has been modified to drive through post-apocalyptic terrain like a Ford F-150 Raptor.
Modifying a track-ready marque into an off-road beast is a tricky build. The philosophies for building these two categories of cars are very different. If you raise the marque an inch too high, you’ll have the ugliest-looking modified Lamborghini in history. But if you miss a few millimeters, you’ll have built a supercar that can only go over a speed bump. The tuner behind this off-road Gallardo nailed it.
1 RENM Performance STS-700 Gallardo
For decades, Lamborghini teased gearheads with possible entry-level supercars. In 2003, the wait was finally over with the Gallardo storming the market in proper Italian fashion. It turned out to be the most important marque in the company’s history.
For the next ten years, the Gallardo evolved to get sleeker and faster. However, it’s RENM Performance that took this Italian bull to another level. It pushed the Gallardo’s V10 up to 700hp. The company then fit the STS-700 with a subtle carbon fiber body kit to improve airflow and cooling. Finally, a large rear wing was bolted in to keep the car grounded as it charges through traffic, the dragstrip, and the race track.
