April 21 (Reuters) – Honda Motor Co (7267.T) plans to construct hundreds of thousands of electric cars (EV) by 2030 using three new committed platforms, with one to be jointly produced with U.S. partner Basic Motors Co (GM.N), a leading executive at the Japanese automaker reported.

Shinji Aoyama, Honda’s international head of electrification, advised Reuters on Thursday the organization will introduce an electric powered mini commercial car in Japan in 2024, crafted on a new little EV platform.
