Get your vehicle fixed? Repair manual missing from library for 44 years

There are a great deal of publications in the library about lacking factors and lacking people today, so this story is not unusually exciting.

Still, it can be a whodunit.

How did a pretty thick e-book about automotive restore go lacking in 1979 and resurface only not long ago at the town of Abilene’s h2o department?

Is Hercule Poirot out there?

This thriller, or not, commenced Monday, with a contact from the metropolis department. A library e-book had been found.

“Chilton’s Car Maintenance Handbook: 1954-1963.”

The missing book, an auto repair manual.

Unquestionably a must-study in its working day. Like Lee Youngster these days.

It was retrieved Tuesday by Janet Bailey, complex products and services manager at the Abilene Public Library.

It may well, or may well not, have been checked out 44 yrs ago.

“It has been gone a lengthy time,” reported Bailey, who would not have an inmistakable moustache to twitch, like Poirot.
